Choose a Shopify quote app from the jobs you need this month, then read the listing for those jobs. The useful list is hide price, a portal the buyer can open without an account, counter-offers, a PDF, payment terms on a draft order, and a way to send the quote to your own system. Request a Quote and Hide Price documents that set, and its catalog is fully free, with no paid tier.

This is a checklist, not a ranking. Competitor prices were not collected for this article, so none are printed here. Recheck every other listing yourself on the day you install, including what “free” includes. Squadkin’s other apps are listed on the Shopify apps page if you are comparing more than quotes.

Start from the jobs, not from a top-five list

A top-five article goes stale as soon as a price or a feature changes, and a second list would repeat the same problem. Match the product in front of you to the work your sales team does. If a listing is silent on a job, treat that job as unconfirmed.

  • Hide price: whole storefront, selected products, rules, or products that already show the quote button. Rules in this catalog cover title, product type, vendor, price, tag, stock status, and collection.
  • Portal: a token link to view, accept, reject, counter, chat, and reorder without a store account.
  • Counter-offer: the buyer counters, and you accept, decline, or counter. Accepting writes the total back as a discount on the PDF, the edit page, and the portal.
  • PDF and email: a quote PDF, and emails with logo, colors, header and footer, and optional custom SMTP. Logo and font controls on the PDF itself are not specified.
  • Terms: draft-order conversion with discount, shipping, tax, a deposit schedule, and NET 7, 15, 30, 60, or 90.
  • Your own system: a public REST API and webhooks, authenticated with a bearer token.

Optional extras in the same free catalog include company records with a tax ID, a VAT-exempt flag, and a credit limit, plus automation on grand total, discount percent, or quantity. Add those to your checklist only if you will use them. A credit limit in this app is a stored figure. It is not documented as a checkout block.

Read another listing the same way

On any other quote app, search the listing for the same six jobs. Write down a yes only when the listing states the behavior. “B2B” on a banner is not a hide-price mode, a NET term, or an API.

Ask where the price goes after it is hidden, whether the buyer needs an account to answer, and whether an accepted total becomes a Shopify draft order or stops at email. Ask which NET terms are named. Ask whether a PDF is generated from the quote after a counter-offer, or whether someone still attaches a file by hand.

For the price of that other app, use the number on its current listing. This article does not supply one. A review count or a star rating is also absent here, on purpose. Compare the jobs.

Leave off features this catalog does not include

HubSpot, Klaviyo, and Mailchimp connectors are not in the quote catalog. If your requirement is “a new contact appears in one of those tools with no code,” this app does not document that. The documented path is the bearer-token API or webhooks, which a developer connects to the system you choose. There is no field map in the catalog to assume.

A file upload on the quote form is documented. The file is attached to the merchant email and linked in both emails. The catalog does not name formats and does not name a size cap. If your buyers must send a specific kind of drawing, test that file. Do not treat an unstated format as supported.

The quote app does not write Shopify B2B catalogs. If you need native market catalogs or company-location price lists, that is Shopify’s B2B feature set, with its own plan limits. Hiding a price and negotiating a quote can sit beside catalogs. It does not fill them.

An optional login gate can require an account before Add to Quote. It does not hide prices by login. Customer tags are not a hide-price condition. If a listing you are comparing promises guest-only prices, check that those words appear in that product’s own docs. They do not appear as a hide mode here.

Decide to skip the app when the job is smaller

Skip a quote app when a phone number is truly enough and someone will answer it. This catalog also has a Call for Price button and a WhatsApp contact button. Those buttons are not a quote record. Use them when a conversation is the whole process.

Skip the quote app when you only need a wholesale application form. That application is a different product, SK Form Builder, and it does not hide catalog prices. Install the quote app when the hidden price, the portal, the PDF, the terms, or the API is the work in front of you.

  • Circle the jobs you need in the next 30 days.
  • Confirm each one on the listing, including the five named NET terms if you sell on terms.
  • Ignore connectors and file formats the catalog does not name.
  • Recheck any other app’s price on its own listing.
  • Run one test quote through hide price, portal reply, and draft order before you train the team.

Questions about choosing a quote app

Does free include NET terms and the API?

In this catalog, yes. Counter-offers, company accounts, automation, the PDF and email tools, draft-order terms, and the public API are included. There is no paid tier.

Should I trust a best-of list for the price?

Recheck the live listing. This article does not rank apps and does not print competitor prices.

What if I need a CRM contact from every quote?

Plan on the REST API or webhooks and a connection you build. Native HubSpot, Klaviyo, and Mailchimp connectors are not in this quote catalog.

Match the checklist to the listing, then try one real quote. The product page is Request a Quote and Hide Price, with the wider set on Shopify apps. The listing is Request a Quote and Hide Price.
